A little bit about Darcy..
Darcy graduated from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She also has a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Virginia Commonwealth University. Darcy joined us in July 2019 as a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal. Prior to ReidGoodwin, Darcy worked as a paralegal for ten and a half years working in personal injury, real estate claims, and veterans law.
What is a normal day at ReidGoodwin for you?
Do normal days exist? Every day is different, but I start my day by checking email and tackling my to-do list on my calendar. From there it depends on whether I am on the phone all day with clients, attorneys, medical facilities, or insurance companies. Every case is different, so every day is very different.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite part of my job is helping the clients and providing them with results and solutions. I cannot explain the feeling when a client finally gets the compensation they deserve, or the operation that will help with their injury, or even settling a case that they have been battling for so long. It is a joint effort, but it is a very rewarding experience to get someone what they deserve.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
When I’m not at work, I really enjoy photography and traveling. Most importantly, I enjoy time spent with my family.
What is the best vacation you’ve taken?
Although with I have traveled around the world and even walked the Great Wall of China, the best vacation I have had was in November 2019. I traveled to Las Vegas and married my husband while surrounded by 26 of our closest family members and best friends.
