For the month of March, the law firm of ReidGoodwin, PLC awarded its $500.00 Reading Corner Grant to Thomas Jefferson High School! TJ High School will be purchasing Maus I and Maus II graphic novels to introduce topics on the Holocaust and World War II. The graphic novel format aids English Language Learners, as well as students that have difficultly with reading comprehension as the graphic illustrations help reinforce the information being expressed. ReidGoodwin is proud to invest in Thomas Jefferson High School and their commitment to provide reading opportunities for their students at all levels.
ReidGoodwin, headquartered in Richmond, has a history of community engagement – partnering with the likes of Richmond Animal League (RAL), FeedMore, JDRF, The Giving Heart, Ronald McDonald House, Safe Harbor, Angel Tree, and more. Now, more than ever, our communities need responsible corporate citizens that give back to their community. “ReidGoodwin’s Reading Corner” is a natural extension to give back to the children in our community and support the educators and libraries in Richmond’s public schools.
For the month of March, ReidGoodwin will be awarding another $500.00 to a school to be used towards any project or need, such as purchasing new books for the library or new supplies. If your library or school has a specific need please submit a short proposal by Friday, April 26, 2019.
Interested schools or libraries in the award should submit a brief statement to include a short description of how the money will be used. Proposals can be sent to ReidGoodwin at receptionist@reidgoodwin.com.
